We petition the Obama administration to use the US military to intervene on behalf of civilians being murdered in Syria in direct violation of International Humanitarian Law. Despite our weariness as a Nation for war, the crimes being committed in Syria are too heinous to ignore. Despite the Security Council's inability to act and Europe's non-committal attitude the US has an obligation and duty to act based on the principles that made this country a beacon of freedom and hope for the entire world. Two years of inaction is two years too long, now is the time to act!
