As a surgeon, I am appalled at the Republican Party's regression to decades old ideas of repressive women's rights. This blog I have highlighted (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/soraya-chemaly/womens-reproductive-rights_...), succinctly reviews the current issues being discussed on the national stage. I implore the administration to highlight these issues frequently, so our most important constituents (women) realize the attack on their rights, and our nation as to the lack of insight of these views. I fear if they are allowed to realize these issues, we will be relegated to the mileu of certain religions and countries which marginalize/suppress women's rights. When confronted with those issues, most Americans are naturally appalled, yet we allow this erosion in our own country.
