Make public education useful. High school graduates may know what happened in a war 300 years ago, or may know how to calculate the value of x, but how does our education prepare young Americans to be adult citizens?
Citizens and residents should be taught HOW to fulfill basic rights and responsibilities, not just told that they exist.
