The USFWS must prosecute Walter Palmer

Created by B.D. on July 31, 2016

The facts are now in. Walter Palmer violated the Lacey Act when he killed Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe. According to Brent Stapelkamp, the lion behaviorist who studied Cecil and tracked him for research, it was clearly an illegal hunt. Cecil was poached. The facts show that Walter Palmer specifically chose to lure Cecil out of a protected area; in that Jericho, who came first to feed on the elephant flesh was not killed, but rather, he waited for Cecil, who was known to be the largest male in the area. This kill was not happenstance. The intent was to take Cecil as a trophy regardless of the law. We, the people demand Walter Palmer be prosecuted to the fullest under the law.
