Create state/local/regional utility cooperatives.
These cooperatives will control wide scale energy distribution. Also they will control wide scale land-line telephone and cable media/internet distribution. The interstate highway system will also be given over to cooperatives with the ability to place tolls. Airports and seaports will become cooperatively owned.
Democratically controlled cooperatives, one person, one vote, will give individuals and common interest groups a means to influence government policy and business choices in the interests of citizen consumers.
