Utilize the 2013 State of the Union Address to lay out a national strategy for climate change action.

A petition to request President Obama to utilize the 2013 State of the Union Address as a means to outline a national strategy for addressing climate change that provides a clear blueprint of the leadership role that the President intends to take in his second term in mobilizing people and resources to combat climate change and makes it clear that, in light of recent events such as Hurricane Sandy as well as the recently released data showing that 2012 was the hottest year on record that we can no longer wait to take action to address this existential threat to our country.
