utilize closing postal facilities and equipment.

Created by K.K. on October 26, 2011

By utilizing closing postal offices, equipment and employees for end-of-day food pick-up from restaurants and grocers, to be delivered to soup kitchens, we can maintain continuous postal service activity, keeping jobs intact, keeping postal offices open and benefitting homeless shelters / feeding the homeless nationwide.

Restaurants/grocers can register for a daily pick-up. The local post office will then create a practical route for the postal carrier to pick-up, along with regular postal pick-ups, and then deliver the goods to the soup kitchens the following morning.
