Utilize Executive authority and order, to bring the United States into compliance of the metric system.

The United States has been left behind arbitrarily in the Imperial System of measurements. This has led many scientific expeditions to failure due to simple math errors. Economically the upfront cost is minimal when taken into account that in 1999 NASA lost a $125 Million dollar mars probe due to a simple math error switching from the American Imperial System to Metric. This cost is worth it to the taxpayer and should not be settled by traditionalist values just to keep an impractical system. We urge President Obama to push our educational future forward and enforce the standardization of the International System of Measurements also referred to as the metric system.
