The honor of doing a tour of duty at The White House should go to those Marines that have been wounded in the course of their duties first. If a Marine has already sacrificed his personal well-being for his country, then that Marine should have first line privileges for the honor of serving in the prestigious position of White House Duty. This will also serve as a bold reminder, to the governing agents of this country, just exactly who bears the burden of the decisions made in policy meetings at higher levels of government. The process for selection should remain vigorous and vigilant, but Marines of the Wounded Warrior Regiment should be the first to be considered. This will allow those Marines to continue serving their country in a meaningful way.
