Utilize the Youth PROMISE Act's preventative and restorative intervention methods in gun violence reduction policy

Sensible gun laws are a critical component in preventing more mass shootings and violence in our country, as are preventative and restorative intervention promulgated in the Youth PROMISE Act
(Youth Prison Reduction Through Opportunities, Mentoring, Intervention, Support and Education Act), which will be reintroduced in Congress early this year.
We urge President Obama and Vice President Biden to keep front and center the important work of preventative and restorative interventions that engage and empower our youth to constructively respond to conflict and violence. These programs save lives and money.
