This petition is a request to waive all current VA debt obligations for Veterans.
Many of those that have applied for VA benefits have had to deal with a system that is complex and slow to respond. With limited synchronization between the VA and DoD, veterans have had navigate through a system that is slow to respond or has taken significant amounts of time to evaluate information in order to pay out or stop payments of VA disabilities. This happens during the use of VA education benefits and during deployments. Many of these obligations have been a product of a lack of administrative coordination between DoD and VA, the two systems that need to be synchronized.
We have seen similar relief for DoD programs such as the California extension debt this past year.
