In my case, the VA was aware I had a heart condition and did nothing to help me. I am certain others have the same problem and the VA could not care less.
Not only did I end up with a pacemaker, I ended up having Open Heart Surgery recently which could have been prevented with better VA Medical Care.
Now, after years of trying to get compensation for my active military disability to my lower back and damaged hearing, Nashville VA wants me to travel 300 Miles for a compensation hearing at a time whereby I can't travel.
The Nashville VA said" Come Here for the Examination" I told them my Heart Surgery prevents me from driving that distance, and they said tough luck Vet? Either drive the 300 miles or No Compensation. What would you do?
