The VACATE Act: Veterans Access Claims Appeals Time Elimination.

Created by R.H. on April 21, 2016

The current Title 38 Veterans Appeals law is violating veterans constitutional rights to a speedy trial and prevents expeditious veterans claims appeal decisions. 400,000 veterans claims are backlogged. The VA Appeals system only has 64 Board of Veterans Appeals Reviewers and 14 US Court of Veterans Appeals Judges. This petition requests that Title 38 be amended to allow the US Federal Civil Court system and its 800 judges be allowed to review and adjudicate veterans disability claims appeals. Veterans Appeals shall be given priority over all other federal civil claims.
