My request is for the day after Thanksgiving be given off to Federal employees. My states government has the day off already as do children. We are forced to work because the agency must have so many bodies here daily which is unfair to those of us who have family out of town or in town for the holiday. I would like to request that this day be given off to Federal employees as well as the day after Christmas for the same reason. This year Christmas falls on a Thursday and who wants to leave their children and loved ones or drive from out of state back home just to goto work for 4 hours?
Schools are closed and state offices are closed as well. Please allow the federal government to close these days too.
