The open and public petition process created by the White House is a powerful tool that can be used to directly communicate sentiment to those who govern at the Federal level.

But, if what is suggested in or by petitions which are published have no validation under existing law or even possible law, constitutional or otherwise, they're presence will only ensure the powerful tool of this petition process may become over burdened with frivolous suggestions only to consume valuable resources which could be better spent delving into more worthwhile proposals finding popular support.
