Pass a law or provide a program that compels US companies to allow each verified US military dishonorably discharged veteran one paid work day off a year above and beyond that of any non veteran employee at any given company. Provide tax breaks in the same amount to the companies that pay out to veterans in order to offset their costs.
The reason being is that nowadays so many people get veterans day off that are not even associated with the spirit of the holiday and so many veterans do not.
This would bring more power to the honoring of our veteran heros.
