The veteran's choice program is a failure. Instead of providing timely healthcare it has become as bad if not worse than the original VA health system. To receive care it now takes months and veterans must pick off of their "approved" list and if your past VA approved outside provider is not on their list you cannot continue with them for your ongoing treatment.
The solution. Put disabled veterans under the Tri-care system and terminate the "Veterans Choice" program. This would truly allow veterans real choice and timely care if the VA cannot offer appointments and or treatment.
Terminating the Choice Program and taking those funds and putting them into the Tri-Care system will finally offer veterans the care that they have earned and deserve.
