Congress needs to hear the real life experiences of those afflicted by war. We need to maintain the same laws while fighting abroad as we do at home. As a 4th generation Army service member, my sister was severely injured in 2004, and my brother went missing after 3 tours. I joined in 2006 knowing the cost. I did not however expect to be more severely injured by negligence then actual warfare.
I am calling on congress to do 2 things.
1. Hold the US agencies, contractors and subcontractors to federal laws, no matter what "country" they are in. They always represent US.
2. Replace the VA as a whole, they have lost the contract due to repeated negligence.
