Veterans should be hired as aides in classrooms and given right to access locked gun in emergency situation.

End violence NOW. Veterans are trained to handle guns responsibly. Hire them as aids in schools if evaluated not to have PTSD. 1 aid could assist 50 students, helping 1 class in the am & 1 in the pm. Allow aids to have locked guns out of reach & sight of students. Children respect soldiers so they'd have a role model supporting, counseling & helping them learn. NEVER mix their pay with general ed funds so cutting $ for other uses is prohibited. Pay equal to what an aid now makes PLUS what an off-duty officer makes so they have a salary they can live on & since they're basically doing 2 jobs at once. Require them to take cont. Ed classes in education & in counseling children. This will keep many troubled students from falling through the cracks & raise a nation of better educated students.
