Veterans preference is a joke in its present form. It does nothing to help veterans gain worthy employment, especially when they have to compete against an overly qualified civilian workforce for government positions. Veterans should take top priority for all entry to mid-level government positions over their civilian counterparts. They served our country and deserve better.
