Veto the Airport Security Act (H.R. 2767).

Created by D.L. on June 15, 2015

The Airport Security Act of 2015 would be a serious violation of individual and states rights. H.R. 2767 seeks to take pre-security areas of airports out of the domain of state and local governments and place them under federal authority. While the federal government rightly has authority over airport security and post-security activities (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution) areas of an airport not directly involved with international or interstate commerce should legally and morally be left to the state and local governments.

This law also unfairly burdens responsible, legal gun owners who wish to pick up or drop off another individual or equipment at an airport.

For these reasons stated above the president should veto this bill.
