Veto any attempts to cut benefits to veterans. Veterans have made sacrifices and that should be the last cut considered.

With budget talks ongoing and compromises being discussed one thing democrats and republicans seem to agree on is that the best place to start cutting from the budget is veterans benefits. Veterans have sacrificed for our country already and now the parties say veterans should be the first to sacrifice for the budget. This country has made a promise to veterans and now both parties want to break that promise in the name of deficit reduction. It is our opinion that the veterans should be the LAST place politicians should look for money and should instead start with their own pay checks. With all the waste in the government I can not believe that veterans are the reason for the deficit. If you cut spending find ways to do it that does the least damage to the people and give veterans a break.
