To veto any bill that would end or reduce the subsidy for commissaries on military installations worldwide.

Created by J.C. on February 27, 2014

For over a century now, the members of the United States Armed Forces, Coast Guard, Reserves and retired members and certain Disabled Veterans have been able to use the commissary program at military installations across the U.S. and in overseas locations in order to save money that is needed for their families. Currently, the commissary program saves the average active, retired or veteran family about 30% , much less than they would save at a comparable civilian grocery store. This benefit helps families that are struggling to get by on salaries that are far less than their civilian counterparts would earn, and also helps keep many of our servicemembers off of public assistance.

The commissary program should be protected from any cuts present and future.
