Veto the ban on the American Flag that UC Irvine has recently put in place.

Created by E.S. on March 17, 2015

Recently, a group of students at UC Irvine have voted for a measure that will ban the American flag from being hung or shown in their office space. We ask for a veto of this vote and for the American flag to be proudly displayed wherever any student of the school feels it necessary. This is a clear violation of the 1st Amendment to free speech and even more so is a disrespectful initiative that aims to shun those who would enjoy to see the flag on campus. The public University has no legal authority to ban any student and citizen of the United States from proudly displaying their nations colors.
