Veto CISPA should it pass

Created by B.P. on October 21, 2013

The Cyber Intelligence and Sharing Protection Act, better known as CISPA, cannot be allowed to become law.

What the law will allow for is unchallenged access to the browsing data of anyone who is using a network which falls under US jurisdiction. This would be accomplished by the law which would force internet service providers to share the private data of their customers. Potential abuse of the law involves widespread spying on the general public by monitoring their internet traffic. The proposed law is also being lobbied by large corporations who wish to use it to restrict the sharing of information on the internet for profit.

US policy is often mimicked by other nations and allowing the US to start a global trend of internet censorship/anti-free laws is unacceptable.
