Veto the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act

Created by R.R. on October 28, 2015

CISA, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, is a threat not only to the privacy of Americans, but to the stability of the American economy. By giving companies immunity from prosecution for sharing data with US intelligence agencies, this act endangers the fundamental rights Americans possess under the 4th amendment.

Not only that, but this act will discourage foreign investment and participation in the US economy due to privacy concerns by citizens of other countries.

CISA has passed the Senate and seems likely to fly through the House as well. President Obama, please, do the right thing and veto this bill. At the very least send it back until strong privacy protection is built into it for American citizens. We've had enough domestic spying.
