Veto Disaster Relief Aid Packages to the State of Texas Related to the West, Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosion

Created by P.D. on April 22, 2013

The State of Texas has repeatedly vocalized its opposition to the intervention of the federal government in state affairs. Additionally, Texas legislators voted against funding relief for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Finally, President Obama's hasty given commitment of aid to West, Texas, is an insult to those North East taxpayers still suffering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

Therefore, we call upon President Obama to honor the will of the people of the State of Texas, and to use the power of veto to prevent any federal tax dollars from going to the aid and assistance of the state, county, private company or individuals negatively impacted the West, Texas fertilizer plant explosion.
