Veto H.R.1406 - Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013 if it passes in the Senate

Created by J.L. on May 13, 2013

H.R.1406 is an insult to already injured workforce. Those not protected in a collective bargaining agreement will lose their 40 hour work week. This bill intends to strip away time and half over time compensation and replace it with forced time off (i.e, compensatory time off). Not only is this a ideological step backwards, but it puts low wage workers, many who depend on overtime to make ends meet, at a significant disadvantage. If this bill makes it to the executive branch, we, the workers of America, implore a presidential veto.
