This proposed bill is a disaster for civil liberties and human rights. It is preposterous that this secretly written bill should have even reached the floor of the House without a single hearing. It is even more preposterous that the House has refused to strip the sections that could give a democratic government a power that could well lead to facism in America.
Mr. President, should the unbelievable happen, and this bill reaches your desk; we desperately hope that you will do the right thing and VETO it without hesitation!
