This bill being proposed flatly defies the 2nd Amendment rights of the American people by stating the goal of "reducing the number of privately owned weapons." Our rights are not to be infringed upon, and I believe this proposal, to spend our tax dollars in the form of tax credits, is unconstitutional. What is the point of the big tax increase this nation just experienced? Surely not to allow for credits to be given to take away our privately owned guns. The oath taken by Rep Rosa DeLauro to protect the constitution would be broken in creating this bill and she and all others who support it should be held accountable.
