Veto the Keystone XL pipeline

The Keystone XL project is not in the best interests of the American people. It would transport extremely dirty oil across the center of our country, endangering water resources and enabling the burning of enough fossil fuels to create climate change that would make life as we know it unbearable. All the arguments for such a pipeline have been shown to be false: it will not create permanent jobs, most if not all of the oil will be sold to other countries, the oil companies will not be responsible for any cleanup, and there are already holes in the pipeline and bad welds. We will not get any of the benefits and will be responsible for all of the problems. Approving this project would be disastrous for the environment and for the American people!
