The Keystone XL pipeline is a high risk to our air, water and land. It will create few long term jobs, and will contribute to destruction of Canadian wilderness for limited gain in the US. More jobs would be created by focusing on alternate energy rather than enriching a few who will export the Canadian oil. Tar sands oil has a greater carbon footprint and will increase the speed of climate change, which will be detrimental to global economies. We need to take a stand to provide for a sustainable future for all.
