Veto the "National Defense Authorization Act."

Created by J.D. on November 30, 2011

I'm sure I don't have to tell you that the Senate voted to keep a controversial provision to let the military detain terrorism suspects on U.S. soil and hold them indefinitely without trial.

This is in direct violation of the sixth amendment and quite frankly the antithesis of what it means to be an American.

If in trying to protect ourselves from terrorism we end up perverting our government into a nearly unrecognizable regime, the "war on terrorism" will truly be lost.

Please President Barrack Obama, please Veto this ill-conceived overreaction and reaffirm that while we will continue fight terrorists, we will do so THE AMERICAN WAY.
