veto the NDAA allowing for indefinite detention without charge or trial, regardless of whether it pertains to US citizen

Created by R.P. on December 18, 2011

The NDAA awaiting Presidents Obama contains dangerous language that allows for indefinite detention without charge or trial. This is clearly an attack on civil liberties and due process. Regardless of whether it pertains to US citizens or not, the President should not be allowed to detain anyone indefinitely without charge or trial. The NDAA would allow the President the power to decide who is a terror threat. This could be used to crush dissent by simply making people fear that they could be locked up indefinitely for expressing opposing views.
