Veto the Omnibus Spending Bill

Created by J.P. on December 14, 2014

The Omnibus Spending Bill was just passed by Congress. In typical fashion, the members used a critical situation and a must-pass bill to enrich themselves and their corporate donors at the expense of not only the American people, but possibly the entire economy itself. This bill contains provisions that grant each member up to $1000 per month for a car, increase campaign donation limits by a factor of 10 to $324,000 per year, and perhaps most importantly make taxpayers liable once again for big banks' risky investments, setting up another economic catastrophe to make 2007 look like a hiccup. These provisions range from shameful to treasonous. Mr. President, you owe it to your country to send a message to these selfish oathbreakers that this will not stand. Please do the right thing.
