There is already a petition addressing SOPA/E-Parasite (H.R. 3261). This petition is to stop the Protect Ip Act (S.968) which goes hand in hand with SOPA.
We the people petition President Obama to use his presidential veto to stop S. 968 becoming a law (in the event that it is passed by Congress). This act is poorly written and would open up innocent people & companies to abuse, false accusations, and censor free speech. It is far too broad and will give far too much power to accusers to be of any fair or practical use.
Obviously a fair and balanced approach is required to address the theft of digital media, but Protect Ip is not it. This bill will stifle technology and media, not save it.
