veto the Protect IP Act in the Senate

Created by A.J. on January 13, 2012

The Protect IP Act is a variation of SOPA except in the Senate. It is sponsored by Big Hollywood and other intellectual property holders but will kill jobs in the technology sector if inacted.

Virtually ALL internet engineers are opposed to this bill as it imposes impossible technical requirements on your favorite sites. The bill will require Google to remove links to all sites the Attorney general and other private companies deem as questionable without notice. It will also remove DNS listings for these same sites on all US based DNS servers invalidating DNSSEC and blocking Americans from viewing these sites similarly to China and Iran
