Veto S. 764 the Biotech Labeling Solutions Act or any bill that pre-empts the rights of States to label GMO's

Created by R.D. on July 10, 2016

Senate bill S. 764 is a transparent attempt by the agricultural and biotech industries to prohibit States from labeling transgenic ingredients in foods. Among the ridiculous suggestions in this bill is that rather than a voluntary label plainly stating "contains genetically modified ingredients," that this be replaced with a smartphone-readable QR code.

President Obama, please veto this bill if it comes before your desk, and any bill that pre-empts States right to label GMOs, short of a comprehensive and good faith manditory federal GMO labeling law that would satisfy the standards of Vermont's H. 112 GMO labeling law.
