Veto Senate Bill S. 3239 (a.k.a tthe Rotten Egg Bill)

Created by M.H. on May 26, 2012

The rotten Egg Bill (S.3239) , if passes in the Senate, must be vetoed for two reasons:

1) It promotes or rather mandates cruelty against animals
2) It is an assault on states rights

The egg industry is seeking to establish egg factory cages as a national standard that could never be challenged or changed by state law or public vote. This bill would preempt state laws, such as California's Proposition 2, and is a direct assault upon egg laying hens, voters, and states' rights.
