History shows us that unarming any society's citizens of their firearms lends to their own destruction, which the Small Arms Treaty would do. Law enforcement uses guns to protect and serve, and we the people of the United States of America should also be able to maintain the sacred right to defend our loved one's and ourselves from violent crimes. This has been a long-held constitutional right and duty of every law abiding citizen, which the Small Arms Treaty would strip away; endangering the lives of countless Americans. Assault rifles are used for various activities by millions of "law abiding citizens." Unfortunately, when a criminal gains possession of such, and commits a crime, politicians want to ban them completely. How about making tougher restrictions and easier varifications?
