The internet is such a vast space that it is nearly impossible for any one person to govern such a large space, yet the United States government is trying to do just that. The WORLD WIDE Web is not something for one country to police.
So many websites allow user uploaded images and videos to be broadcast, and if the SOPA and PIPA bills pass through congress it will take little more than one user to completely shut down any website such as Wikipedia, YouTube, Facebook, or any website with a forum, including whitehouse.gov.
By passing this bill, the United States government will have to shut down their own website because I upload this picture link.
