We, the undersigned, do hereby petition the United States Government to consider the plight of the thousands of Amerasians that continue to suffer extreme deprivation of: opportunity, civil liberty, human rights and hope, deprivations that are not only governmental but also societal in Vietnam. The Amerasian Homecoming Act, which was passed into law in December of 1987, provides for all Amerasians born between the years 1962 and 1975, and their close family members, the opportunity to resettle in the United States. However, the annual numbers have been severely delayed in processing. The third generation of Amerasians, who become 21 years of age and older are not allowed to, follow their Amerasian parents to the United States. We ask for Your help ... please help Vietnamese-Amerasians .
