We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Vietnamese ask Mr. Obama to raise the issue of environment and human rights on upcoming visit to Vietnam on May 2016

Created by H.D. on May 09, 2016

Dear Mr. President. Cause of the mass fish die-offs in central seas of Vietnam with the government’s slow response and lack of transparency, Vietnamese have used peace demonstration on 1st May and 8th May 2016 in some cities to ask for government’s official statements and solutions. In answering, the Vietnam government has used their law-enforcers and peace-keepers to aggressively beat, assault, disperse the protesters’ peaceful demonstrations. We are ready to provide evidence of using violence by Vietnam officials. We strongly ask Mr. President to raise these issues in the meeting with the leading communist authorities. Please do not support them presenting in any international events and forums which relates to human rights until they are abided by fundamental human rights. Sincerely
