The large influence of private money on Congress is visibly corrupting our democracy. It is impossible to have any confidence in our representatives and senators in Congress when the influence of their campaign contributors on policies and legislation is so blatantly obvious.
A very good start is vigorously promoting The Fair Elections Now Act,S. 750, H.R. 1404, currently in congress.
Also promoting regulations reducing the "revolving door" between the private sector and government to prohibit "closely related" work in the private sector either immediately before or immediately after serving in government.
Finally promoting House and Senate rules strictly prohibiting a member sitting on a committee whose bailiwick has any overlap with the interests of their contributors.
