Visit Chicago, meet with families and the leadership team to help them solve the gun violence issues in the city.

Created by T.M. on January 27, 2013

We need President Obama to visit the city of Chicago, his hometown, that has been besieged by gun violence over the past year. There have been 500+ youth killed in the city in 2012. Just as outrageous and tragic as the 26 deaths in Newtown, CT, so is the 500+ African-American & Latino youth dying in Chicago. The city badly needs the attention of the President. He is the person to get that process of healing and problem solving started. We need him to meet with the Mayor, Father Pflegar and other leaders to identify solutions and kick start there implementation. The issue of gun violence is clearly an issue in the City of Chicago, so this is where he needs to bring the message and support for his position on gun control and also address the issue of illegal guns getting in the wrong hands.
