Human Rights violations should not be acceptable to any government, much less enforced by one. In Venezuela, every sector has proven ineffective or corrupt - police to politicians - the country has the highest murder rate per capita, the inflation rate is the 3rd highest in the world, electricity, water, food, & everyday goods are in constant shortages, the media has been censored against opposition talk shows, protest coverage, news, there have been opposition members/leaders wrongfully imprisoned, murder of protesters caught on camera by pro-government street gangs and military personnel. This petition is for the USA to exert its influence by imposing economic sanctions and discontinuing it's purchases of crude oil until the protests have resided and the people of Venezuela have a voice.
