In the U.S. the monetary cost for a rape victim to recieve treatment is not just unjustly inflicted, it's unreasonably high.
Besides the mental and physical trauma of being raped, the victim is held liable for their own harm. An uninsured rape victim is facing about $4,000+ in medical fees. For a second, we can reflect on our own common sense and try to find a parallel between this crime and another. In that quest, however, we will find that the victim STILL had no control over what happened to them nor should they be charged for recieving treatment. This should spark outrage in anyone who is aware, and someone should realize that this is not only wrong, but adds futher insult to injury.
