Water shortage is an issue. Nearly a billion people don't have access to water, 2 billion lack proper sanitation, and 4 thousand kids. But because a lot of people who can do anything about it don't understand those issues, they don't do anything about it. A solution has come up recently called ”desalination technology”. These are machines that use electrodialysis and reverse osmosis to get the salt out of the water. This has been very successful. They produce around 6 billion gallons and save around 26 million dollars. We save water every way we can and we'll be able to help those countries.
