As Americans, we care about our fellow citizens, and we suck up our defeats and resolve to do better next time. We respect Democracy! But Texans favor allowing its poorest citizens to go without medical care, demotes the seriousness of such blights in out history as slavery by rebranding this as just another form of trade, will force controversial vaccines on its citizens for a campaign donation, and quit altogether when they lose instead of trying again. Texas also operates independently in many ways already, such as their own power grid. Texas as a whole also wants to quit rather than to work with the rest of us. We Americans favor letting the state go.
