Our petition is to make same-sex marriage legalized in the state of Florida. It is unconstitutional for somebody to be deprived of the right to marry the person they love. The Pledge of Allegiance clearly states "justice and liberty for all." The Florida marriage laws ignore that. Gay and lesbian couples are deprived of the joy and satisfaction of having a family because of one silly discriminating law. Legalizing same-sex marriage will help people accept gay and lesbian couples and finally treat them like the normal everyday people that they are.
